KAPA History

• 2008, winter ~ ESN KAPA Athens was established by its founder (Eva Ntovolou) who had returned from her Erasmus experience and decided to expand the ESN by creating a section in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
• 2008, spring semester ~ the first introduction week organized.
• 2008, autumn ~ new members come on board, the section gradually becomes more active and well-structured.
• 2009, March ~ Eva Ntovolou becomes the National Representative of ESN Greece.
• 2009, March ~ ESN KAPA Athens wins the logoSTAR international award.
• 2009, summer ~ ESN KAPA Athens organized the 1st National Platform in Kalamata.
• 2009, autumn ~ more new members, adoption of the 3-membered Organization Committees structure for the organization of events.
• 2010, February ~ organization of the 1st National Magazine for ESN Greece.
• 2010, March ~ Eva Ntovolou becomes the President of the International Board of ESN.
• 2010, September ~ a Buddy System for Erasmus Students organized for the first time.
• 2010, November ~ Katerina Papoutsi becomes the Vice-President of the newly created National Board of ESN Greece.
• 2010, December ~ ESN KAPA Athens becomes “Section in the Spotlight”.
• 2011, February ~ ESN KAPA Athens gets it very own office in University premises
• 2011, July ~ Alexandros Vigkos becomes the National Representative of ESN Greece
• 2011, September ~ ESN KAPA Athens organises its first International Event, CoMeet
• 2011, December ~ ESN KAPA Athens co-organised with ESN Athens AUEB and ESN AUA Athens the 6th National Platform in Athens
• 2012, March ~ Vasiliki Sioziou becomes the National Representative of ESN Greece
