Got some questions for you!

Have you heard of movies like “Never on Sunday”  and  “Zorba the Greek”or directors like Thoedoros Angelopoulos  and Mihalis Kakogiannis ? Did you know that Greek cinema produced the first nudist scene in European cinema in 1928? Well, Greece has a long and rich cinematic history and Greek cinema is relatively successful in comparison to other EU countries. Moreover, sometimes it is the case that Greek films dominate  the domestic market ,e.g. “ Safe Sex” had more  box office receipts  than “Titanic”. Yeah, it’s true! 

And yeah... I know...a long introduction just to tell you that ESN KAPA  and the Cinematic Department of the Student s’ Artistic Club of UOA organize a greek movie night and  that we would like to invite you all! The movie to be screened is “A Touch of Spice” by Tassos Boulmetis.  “A Touch of Spice “(Or “Politiki Kouzina” in greek) was the most successful film for the year 2003 and has won several awards. It is a story about a young Greek boy (Fanis) growing up in Constantinople, whose grandfather, a culinary philosopher and mentor, teaches him that both food and life require a little salt to give them flavor; they both require... A Touch of Spice. Fanis grows up to become an excellent cook and uses his cooking skills to spice up the lives of those around him but then he realizes that he forgot to put a little bit of spice in his own life.
